The rules this site holds itself to

The only reason to read a booster review is the belief that it isn’t for sale. So:

• A commission never earns a recommendation. Products are assessed on measured, real-world performance under the standards set out in the Editorial Policy. Whether a product carries a commission has no bearing on whether it gets recommended, how it is rated, or where it appears in a list.
• Commission rates never decide rankings. Some products pay more than others. That is not a factor in the ordering of any list on this site, and it never will be.
• Poor products get called poor. A product that carries an affiliate link can still get a negative assessment here, and that has to remain true or none of this is worth anything.
• Sometimes the honest answer is “don’t buy.” Plenty of dead zones are better solved by moving an antenna, switching carriers, or using Wi-Fi calling than by buying hardware. Where that is the case, this site says so — even though no one gets paid for that answer.
• No one pays for coverage. No brand, manufacturer, or retailer can pay to be featured, reviewed, or rated on this site.
• Not every link is an affiliate link. Links to the FCC, to carriers, to manufacturers’ specification pages, and to technical references are there because they are useful. They earn nothing.

Where this site stands today

Being straight with you about the current state, rather than describing a bigger operation than exists: the Amazon Associates relationship described above is in place, but the guides published on this site so far do not carry affiliate links. As the review library grows, some of them will — and when that happens, every rule on this page applies from the very first link.
