Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Signal Booster Info collects when you visit, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes what this site actually does — not a list of practices copied from somewhere else.

The short version: this site does not run analytics, does not run advertising trackers, does not show ads, and does not have a newsletter. The only information you can hand over is what you choose to type into the contact form.

What this site collects

Information you give voluntarily

The Contact page has a form. If you choose to use it, it asks for:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your message

That is used for one purpose: to read your message and reply to it. Nothing more. Your email address is not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. It is not sold, rented, or traded — not now, and not later.

If you email directly instead of using the form, the same applies to whatever your email contains.

Information collected automatically

Like effectively every website, this site runs on a web server that keeps standard access logs. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure and typically record your IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, and the time of the request. They exist for security and for diagnosing faults — for example, identifying an attack or working out why a page failed to load. They are not used to build a profile of you, and no attempt is made to identify individual visitors from them.

This site’s hosting provider processes that log data on our behalf as part of delivering the site.

What this site does not do

Being specific, because vagueness in a privacy policy usually hides something:

  • No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, and no other visitor-analytics package running on this site.
  • No advertising. No display ads, no ad networks, no retargeting, no Facebook pixel or equivalent.
  • No newsletter or marketing email. There is no signup form and no list, so you will not receive marketing from this site.
  • No selling your data. Your personal information is not sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing purposes.
  • No account system. There is nothing to register for, so there are no visitor passwords or profiles.
  • No comments. No commenter data is collected through this site.

If any of this changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

WordPress and the site’s theme may set a small number of functional cookies needed for the site to work correctly — for example, remembering a display preference, or a session cookie if someone signs in to administer the site. If you submit the contact form, your browser may retain a cookie so the form does not have to be re-filled.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not stop you reading anything here.

Links to other sites, and affiliate links

This site links out — to the FCC, to wireless carriers, to manufacturers’ specification pages, and to retailers.

Once you click a link to another site, you are on their turf and their privacy policy applies, not this one. In particular, where a link is an affiliate link — as explained on the Affiliate Disclosure page — clicking it means the retailer, Amazon for instance, will set its own cookies and apply its own tracking and privacy practices in order to attribute the referral. That happens on their side and under their control. Signal Booster Info does not receive your name, address, payment details, or a record of what you personally bought. Retailer reporting shows aggregate commissions, not identifiable customers.

No responsibility is accepted for the privacy practices of any third-party site. If it matters to you, read their policy before you hand over anything.

Some pages may include embedded content such as videos or maps. Embedded content from another site behaves exactly as if you had visited that site directly, and can collect data about you accordingly.

How long information is kept

Contact form messages and email correspondence are kept only for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry and any sensible follow-up, and are deleted once they no longer serve that purpose. Server logs are retained for a limited period by the hosting provider as part of routine security and diagnostics, and then rotated out.

Your rights over your information

You have rights here, and this site honors them. Depending on where you live — for example, under the GDPR in the UK and EU, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — those rights may include:

  • Access — asking for a copy of the personal information held about you.
  • Correction — asking for anything inaccurate to be fixed.
  • Deletion — asking for your information to be erased.
  • Objection and restriction — asking us to stop or limit the use of your information.
  • Opting out of sale or sharing — straightforward here, because your data is never sold or shared for marketing.

To exercise any of these, get in touch through the Contact page or email [email protected]. Requests are handled free of charge. In practice the honest answer is usually simple: if you sent a message through the form and want it deleted, ask and it will be deleted.

You will never be treated differently, or refused help, for exercising any of these rights.

Data security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the limited information this site holds, including serving the whole site over an encrypted HTTPS connection. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed by anyone who is being straight with you. Please do not send sensitive personal information — financial details, identification documents, or anything similar — through the contact form. There is never a reason for this site to need it.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please make contact and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated if what the site does changes. Material changes will be reflected here rather than made quietly.
